The concept design stage is the first creative phase of the architectural design process, which comes after our pre-design meeting. At this stage, Studio 1284 start to translate our clients requirements into visual and spatial ideas. The ultimate goal of the concept design stage, is to define the overall design direction.

The design concept drawings guide the project, look at the layout of spaces, how the building relates to its site, context and environment, whilst also starting to consider the use of materials to achieve the vision.

The end goal of our concept design stage is so that our clients can visualize the project before moving into more technical development.

At the Design Concept Stage a Site Analysis and Feasibility Study would also be carried out. A feasibility study determines if a project is worth the owner’s investment. Studio 1284 will look at the proposed location and other factors to determine if a project will bring the outcome the owner desires. A feasibility study also takes a professional look at the legal right to build what the owner envisions, and will also review all options available and present them to our clients in an easy to read layout and visuals.
